Distance Learning Program

Early childhood education is important because it builds the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Children need to associate school as something fun while being just another part of their day - it should be just as natural as waking up and brushing their teeth. There is no better way to do that than sharing the wonderful world of Montessori as soon as possible, even from as small as 18 months.

COVID-19 has turned the world on its head but we have seized the moment and created our Distance Learning Program for children that are toddler-aged all the way to grade seven. This allowed our students to continue their studies without interruption. We are proud of our resiliency and innovation as something scary has now become one of our biggest strengths.

Due to the success of this program, we are excited to announce that the MSK Distance Learning Program will now be offered to children from 18 months to five years-old! Want to know more? Contact us today!

Perhaps committing to a Montessori school doesn’t necessarily work for your family or you prefer homeschooling to the traditional model. Whatever your decision may be, we are now sharing our award-winning, premier Montessori education with any child anywhere in the world.

This program gives families the opportunity to access our curriculum, teachers and be part of the MSK community from afar. We may be facing challenging times, but providing a premier education will always be of the utmost importance to us.

By signing-up for the MSK Distance Learning Program, you’ll get:
  • Live virtual lessons with peers and an accredited Montessori teacher;
  • Curriculum in core subjects in addition to art, language studies and more;
  • Materials and direction for executing the curriculum;
  • Assessment and direction on your child’s work;
  • Individualized lessons and access to our Resource Department (if needed); and more!
If you’d like to learn more, please contact us today so we can determine if this is the right fit for you.

We can’t wait to e-meet you and welcome you to the MSK community!

  • MSK I knew I could count on you! Honestly what a phenomenal team. COVID has presented an unprecedented situation, however principal Enza was able to act promptly to make the best out of the situation; and what an amazing job she has done! The distance learning program was a great success and the kids truly enjoyed it! Miss Galati and Mrs. De Sousa did an incredible job at keeping the kids engaged. They brought so much enthusiasm, positive energy and happiness to every zoom call. Every zoom call was creative and filled with knowledge and a new learning opportunity. The parents were always involved and kept informed via emails; and the daily activities provided a routine to our day! I could imagine the amount of effort, and how difficult it must have been to plan and prepare for all of those zoom calls; and I truly appreciate it.
  • Its hard to sum up all the amazing things the teachers have done for the kids during this uncertain time. First off I’d like to thank Principal Enza for her amazing staff and teachers. From the beginning of this pandemic we were kept informed via email of the steps the school was taking after March break. Mrs. Lidia Beros and Mrs. Ritu Saini would also send class emails to advise the parents as to how distance learning will work and it did successfully!! They would also ask how my girls were handling their daily assigned work, and how was their state of mind. As a parent we were all confused but the teachers were always there for support. When the girls needed more clarification their teachers were only a message, email or zoom meeting away. We cannot thank Mrs Beros and Mrs Saini enough for going above and beyond because they are more than just the girls teachers.
  • At the start of the covid-19 pandemic we were concerned about our daughter’s schooling and social interactions. MSK stepped right in and was running with an online digital platform without missing a school day. The Lower Elementary Grade 1 program led by Mrs. Cappa included online sessions that covered the core aspects of the school curriculum but also a separate daily session that allowed the class to socialize and check in on each other, a key component to children’s mental health and well-being. We are pleased with how quickly, thoroughly and effectively MSK mobilized and managed through the pandemic.
  • In these unprecedented times of change and adaptation, we are very thankful to be a part of the MSK family.  The dedication and support of the MSK teachers and staff as a whole has been superb.  MSK acted swiftly to establish their distance learning program and our two children were able to adapt and transition very smoothly. It has been a great source of comfort for our children to be able to see their teachers and classmates on a daily basis and to continue learning and growing during these challenging times.   It has also helped to maintain a sense of structure and routine to our day. Thank you to our children’s wonderful teachers for their continued compassion, understanding and genuine concern for the wellbeing and happiness of our children

    1. COVID-19 introduced many unique challenges for families to face and deal with. Fearing that our children's continued education was going to be one of our most difficult tests, our family was blessed by MSK's flawless transition from classroom to distance learning. MSK quickly and effectively communicated and implemented an online platform and curriculum and executed it with ease and agility. We cannot thank enough the teachers for their support and effort in providing our boys with structure and focus during the past few months; without Mrs. Lidia or Madame Josie's daily lessons and encouragement, the impact of COVID-19 isolation would have been more difficult for them and even us as parents"

  • We were amazed at the online materials found and used!  Our children were always happy to be greeted with a smile by their respective teachers, and interested in participating in and listening to the lessons, which were well-formulated and co-ordinated.  I must commend all staff on remaining so positive, cheerful and filled with joy, which was invaluable for us.  We feel that all challenges were met with tenacity, as again, all seemed flawless on our end.  This is only made possible, if an extreme amount of effort goes into planning, by the entire school, beginning with the Principal, Mrs. Vincenza Kooner, Vice Principal, Mr. Kam Kooner, as well as the entire administration and the entire staff and faculty, at all levels of the Montessori Program.  I can not stress enough, how out-of-their-way the staff went, to ensure that we had the correct materials, and to ensure that we were always sufficiently notified, as well as reminded, of all of the class meetings, as well as assignments and due dates, especially at the Lower Elementary 2/3 Level.  You allowed for stability, routine and structure in our home, during this uncertain time.  We continue to have faith and trust in your school, its methods and mostly, your staff.  Way to go, MSK!!!
  • Our experience of the Distance Learning Program, at The Montessori School in Kleinburg, has far exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased, and could not be happier!  We were so impressed that the faculty and staff were able to plan such a program immediately, following the school-closure, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is clear that they worked tirelessly over their March Break, to create a seamless and truly flawless curriculum.  The teachers were so organized, that it truly made our experience as parents so easy.  The transition to Distance Learning, was a very smooth one for us.  The staff's organization was incredibly effective, their communication frequent, and their availability and willingness to help was always apparent.  They were here right alongside us as parents, guiding each day of our children's learning.  The Zoom virtual lessons were enjoyable, engaging and practical.

    In this current situation of Covid 19 Pandemic, my husband and I would like to thank you & MSK for all your hard work and dedication for continuing and providing my Carmelo's education. With the use of technology you have provided Carmelo with all the necessary continued education thru video lessons with his teachers, online group learning with his classmates and one on one learning with his teacher. Carmelo continues to excel as if he were physically attending school and that is because of the amazing teachers and MSK’s Distance Learning Program.

  • We are extremely grateful to Mrs Lidia Beros for her exceptional work and commitment in the transition to online learning. In a time of such uncertainty it was comforting to see a quick and successful plan put into place. A daily routine was reestablished and video conference calls helped our child reconnect with his class and continue his essential learning. Extra support was readily available and parent feedback was encouraged. At MSK the dedication and passion for teaching transcends the classroom. Thank you for all your hard work. Great job MSK!

    In these uncertain times, it was reassuring to be part of a distance learning program that was established quickly and efficiently at MSK.   It was a seamless transition from the classroom with daily video classes and a workload that my son was already accustomed to.  The teachers and administrators were readily available virtually and I felt my son was able to continue learning in an involved way for the rest of the school year.  It was also beneficial as a parent to be able to see how the students interacted with each other in class and to get a sense of how they are learning.  As a working mother, the distance learning program at MSK worked well and helped us as a family balance work and school.  Thank you to the hard-working team at MSK.
